Dr. Leonard Cassuto is Professor of English at Fordham University, where he teaches American literature and writes about subjects ranging from crime fiction to the scientific search for room-temperature semiconductors. He also writes a column for The Chronicle of Higher Education called “The Graduate Adviser,” where he examines the state of the profession in general and graduate education in particular. This honor is a unique opportunity to recognize a member of our organization who has served as a mentor to faculty members who are beginning their careers.
Graduate Student Awards in Literature (literary analysis), Pedagogy (teaching methodologies and reflections) and Writing (fiction, non-fiction, and poetry)
Each year, graduate students are cordially invited to submit papers and creative pieces for the NJCEA Annual Graduate Student Awards. Winners receive an Amazon gift card and are published in The Watchung Review, the official publication of the NJCEA.
