2022 NJCEA Fall Roundtable

“Promoting Health and Well-Being: Effective Strategies for Teachers and Students”

Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 10AM- 12PM

at Kean University

Center for Academic Success, Room 406

Pre-COVID, wellness and mental health initiatives were often seen as separate endeavors from academics; however, wellness is proving to be integral to success for both students and faculty in the “Post” Covid 19 classroom. The Fall Roundtable will open a  dialogue on these issues asking questions such as,

  • What do we do to take care of ourselves as well as our students?
  • How do we set and maintain boundaries, especially for those who are untenured?
  • How do we preserve research time and maintain our own mental health and boundaries around work and our students' needs?
  • How has the Great Resignation and other shifts in academia influenced our      workloads, our mental health, and our identities as academics?
  • How can the school administration help in these matters?
  • And ultimately, what solutions do we have for ourselves and our classrooms?

There will be a $10 fee to cover the breakfast and coffee/tea expenses. Please click on the Buy Now PayPal link below or send a check made out to the NJCEA:
